Abstract
ENGLISH ABSTRACT: Respiratory arrest is a rare but serious complication of status asthmaticus. Two such cases, which were closely associated with the use of intravenous steroids, are reported. Possible causes for the sudden deterioration of patients in status asthmaticus are discussed.
