Bantu languages with specific attention to the syntax and semantics of these sentence, i.e. the structure and meaning of interrogative clauses. For this purpose the following issues will be dealt with: (a) The difference between statements and questions with focus on the features of questions; (b) The difference between yes-no questions and specificational questions with interrogative words, as well as between direct and indirect questions; (c) Interrogative words and their functional positions in sentences; and (d) Clefted sentences with questions. | en_ZA |
